Child Maintenance Briefing Sessions

The next phase of child maintenance reform is approaching.  This summer, application, collection and enforcement fees will be introduced for the 2012 statutory child maintenance scheme operated by the Child Maintenance Service.  The process of ending all liability on 1993 and 2003 scheme Child Support Agency cases will also being, so that, eventually, only one statutory scheme will remain.

As the introduction of charging and case closure is approaching, officials will be holding a further round of briefing sessions for MPs’ caseworkers and researchers to raise awareness of the changes and how constituents may be affected.  Eleven sessions will take place from June onwards, and will be for anyone who was unable to attend the last sessions, or anyone who is interested in receiving an update on developments.

Please see the w4mp calendar on the site’s front page for individual dates and venues.  Please note that RSVP is essential.
