Parliament and the Constitution Alerting Service Updated 21 November 2008 Parliament and the Constitution Alerting Service (PCAS) (formerly known as the Parliamentary Current Awareness Service) is a summary of news in the fields of Parliament and the Constitution. It includes materials from Hansard, the Vote Bundle, press notices, and selected news websites. Published daily by 10.30am when the House is sitting and from time to time during recesses. You can see it on the Parliamentary Intranet and here's the route to it: Intranet homepage > House of Commons > Information Services > Library > Parliament and the Constitution Alerting Service. It lists items under headings such as: Parliament, Government, Constitution, Crown, Elections, Politics and Political Parties, Civil Service, Devolution, etc. and is followed by up to date list of most recent Research Papers and Standard Notes on parliament/constitution. Well worth putting on your list of Things-to-Check-out. If you've missed a day or a particular topic, you can search through previous PCAS pages on the Intranet. |
