Parliamentary Tours - the script

Updated: 25 June 2009

Now here's something really useful:  a shortened version of the script used by guides (PDF file 50KB ) along the Parliamentary Tour - what used to be known as the Line of Route.   Use it to educate yourself about the history of the Palace of Westminster or to impress your colleagues and visitors.  It includes all the information you need to know and will make you appear quite astonishingly knowledgeable.

This is a much shortened version which leaves out all sorts of footnotes.  You can get a longer version, with lots of explanatory notes and guidelines on how to present information, on the intranet here:
http://intranet.parliament.uk/intranet/exhibitions-tours/assets/ToursScript.doc.

Full information about tours in general, and how to book them, is here:
http://intranet.parliament.uk/exhibitions-tours/parliamentary-tours.

We have added a map which shows the complete Line of Route i.e. all the places on the Tour, set out in order.

The Map as a JPEG (80 KB)

A more recent copy is available on the intranet: http://intranet.parliament.uk/intranet/access-security/assets/MapLoR-c.pdf.
