What happens to unanswered PQs when Parliament is prorogued?

Unfortunately, under the new system, the questions are discarded, so if the Member still requires an answer, s/he will have to resubmit the question.

According to The Guardian, there are hundreds of questions which remain unanswered, some of them after eleven months.
