The latest revised version of the List of Ministerial Responsibilities was published in June 2005. Hard copies can be obtained from the Vote Office, or phone x3631 for a copy to be sent to your constituency office. You cannot do without it!

This is an essential item for your computer bookmarks and/or your bookshelf as it lists exactly which Minister is responsible for every aspect of government. For example, you want to know who's responsible for the Employment Tribunals Service? An educated guess would take you to the DTI but you're not sure whose bag it is? Check down the page and there it is, listed under Gerry Sutcliffe MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State (Minister for Employment Relations and Consumer Affairs) together with details of his Private Office contacts.
If you can't track down a particular responsibility from the list, again try an educated guess and ring the private office who will point you to the right Minister. Don't be shy; they are there to help!
