Summer opening of Parliament

The following information is for Members and their Staff as well as for Officers of both Houses. There is a link to information for the public near the end of the information below.
Tours And Access Regulations
The Summer Recess runs from 23rd July to 6th October 2008
and the Summer Opening to the paying public runs from 28th July to 27th
September 2008 (Monday–Saturday). Tour timings and access regulations vary
accordingly.
Members and staff escorting guests are asked to follow the normal flow of
the Visitor Route at these very busy times. Summer Opening groups will be
occupying the space between the benches on either side of the Lords and
Commons Chambers; Members and staff are asked to assist us in maintaining
clear flow by taking their guests to the Bar of the House of Lords and the
far end of the Table in the Commons Chamber and in keeping the area at the
Back of Chair clear.
Members' Morning Tours
During the Summer Opening sponsored tours for Members’ guests (in groups of up to twenty) are available for booking via the Central Tours Office for the following mornings: 9.30am-12pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays in July and August, and Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in September and October. Sponsored tours are not available outside these times.
Staff
Staff, of either House, in possession of a permanent pass may also escort up to 6 visitors along the Visitor Route on the Members’ Mornings outlined above. In addition, 25 permits per day will be available to allow staff to escort up to 6 guests along the Visitor Route at other times when the Summer Opening is operating. These must be obtained on the day from the Blue Badge Guides at the Information Desk situated in Westminster Hall at the following times: Mornings 10am-12pm, afternoons 2-4pm. You will need to show your pass to collect a permit.
Members and Officers
During the Summer Opening Members and Officers of both Houses may personally escort up to 6 guests along the Visitor Route at any time that it is open (9.30am-4pm Mon-Sat during the Summer Opening). Larger groups can only be accommodated on Members’ Mornings (Wednesdays and Thursdays in July and August; Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in September and October) and should be booked in the usual manner through the Central Tours Office.
Public Opening
July/August: Mon,Tues,Fri,Sat 9.15am-4.30pm, Wednesday and Thursday 1.15-4.30pm. September/October: Mon,Fri,Sat 9.15am-4.30pm. Tues,Wed,Thurs 1.15-4.30pm.

Adults £12.00, Child (5-15yrs) £5.00, Concessions (including Armed Forces) £8.00, Family ticket (Two adults + two children under 16 yrs) on application £30.00.

Tours are available in French, German, Spanish and Italian daily.
