[This is a revised version of a Notice placed on 12 March] Would you like to live in a luxury flat overlooking the canal in Hackney just five minutes' walk from Victoria park? Me too. That's why I am going to rent a 2 bedroom place in the gorgeous Omega Works development in up-and-coming Hackney Wick looking out over the new Olympic stadium. All I need now is someone to share with. The flat has two en-suite double bedroom, a large living room, open plan kitchen, breakfast bar and dining area. It comes with a flat screen TV, dishwasher and washing machine with heated wood floors throughout, high ceilings and a balcony overlooking the canal. It's on Roach Road about five minutes walk from Victoria Park and ten minutes to London Fields - which is great for lazy Saturday's hanging out in the park or meeting friends for lunch at Broadway market. The nearest station is Hackney Wick, which will take you to Hackney Central, Dalston or Cannonbury in under ten minutes. Bow, Mile End and Stratford Underground stations are also nearby. All in all, it's about 45 minutes commute from work, but as a press officer for 8 Select Committees I am never short of reading for the train. TURKISH HOLIDAY VILLA With Private Pool Available For Bookings!:
My parents own a 3 bedroom villa in Kalkan, Turkey, with its own private swimming pool. They rent it out to guests between May 1st and November 1st. It overlooks the sea and the Taurus mountains and it is furnished and equipped to a high standard with marble flooring and air conditioning throughout. It has a private roof terrace, balconies and an extensive patio (with bbq, sun loungers etc!). The attractive local beach is a 15 minute walk from the villa with safe swimming and is next to the harbour. FLAT SHARE:
Room fully furnished with a double bed, bedside table, shelving unit, wardrobe with shelves, chest of drawers, desk, bedside and desk lamps.
There is a spacious communal area with living room, dining room and a small balcony. DVD player and digital TV included. Kitchen contains all the essentials (fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, electric stove etc) as well as a dishwasher and washing machine.
A good size single room will also be available with a desk, wardrobe, shelves, clothes rack, lamps and mirror. The rent for this room is £465/month incl. bills.
Bills are included in the price for both rooms and covers broadband internet and phone line, TV license, water, gas, electricity and council tax.
The flat is in an ideal location just off Mile End road with many local shops, markets, take aways and a cinema. There is a large Sainsburys about 5 minutes walk away.
The flat is also less than 5 minutes walk to Stepney Green tube or Whitechapel(District and Hammersmith/City line). Bethnal Green (central line) is about 10 min walk. There is a 25 bus (less than 1 minute walk) that goes directly to Oxford Circus (takes 35 minutes) and to Stratford which runs 24hours a day. There is good access to Liverpool Street, Kings Cross and Stratford train stations.
The ideal flatmate would be aged in their twenties, preferably female and could be a postgraduate student or working in London.
The first room is available within a week or two, early March. Minimum term of 4-5 months.
