Please use the new w4mp jobs system at http://www.w4mpjobs.org/
Please do not send job adverts to us by email or using the forms on the old website - we may not receive them.
Use the job submission form to enter your details.
Please follow the instructions on the form as otherwise information may not be recorded correctly and this could delay the posting of your ad.
Although we do check the details you send us carefully before placing ads, you may wish to define more closely how you want it to appear, particularly in the "details" section. To do this you need to add a little html code. If you are interested in doing this click here for further instructions.
At present we do not charge for placing your ad. This is part of a service to MPs and their Staff and while we are here primarily to serve them, we welcome all ads which have a political dimension. If you work within Parliament (MPs, Peers, House Departments, etc) or are involved in the Westminster village or the political landscape beyond you will find your job ad on W4MP attracts many excellent applicants. Similarly, we welcome ads from organisations/companies/etc seeking to recruit people who have experience of working within Parliament; to clarify - we don't charge for any ads.
This is a free service to you so PLEASE keep details AS BRIEF AS POSSIBLE! Best to submit basic details to us with a link to full info on your own website.
Applicants using our Jobs page have complained to us about the length of time it takes to complete application forms which some advertisers insist are used by applicants when all the necessary information is already contained in their CVs. To attract the best candidates and not just the paper-pushers, consider accepting a CV instead along with a cover letter to tell you how they meet the job criteria.
""We got the perfect person for the job. There were over 100 applicants and every one of them could do the job. I will highly recommend your website to anyone I meet who is looking for a job or staff."
"We had a staggering number of responses from many very well qualified candidates and I am very grateful to you for the excellent service you provide."
"After many years searching for a paid political job, checking the site almost every day and doing a couple of internships, I have finally been able to find a job which was advertised on the site. For that as well as the unique employment resource you provide, I shall be eternally grateful."
“We found using the w4mp site invaluable in the search for a graduate to join our team. The response was unprecedented in terms of sheer numbers, but also with the strength of candidates found. Using w4mp meant that most of the people responding to the ad had the relevant Westminster experience required for our position. We were so impressed by the response we took the ad down two weeks before the closing date. It made the search much easier and we would definitely use w4mp in the future.”
Adding formatting information to your ad submission:
Simple, isn't it! Here's an example, with the formatting shown first, followed by how it will appear:
Another useful one is <BR> which just provides one line break.
