This is a voluntary role in the parliamentary office of Nick Clegg MP.
The role will include dealing with correspondence, compiling briefing material, some policy research, and providing administrative support as necessary.
Interns gain experience of working in a party leader’s office and will develop essential skills necessary for those looking to go on to work as a parliamentary researcher or in public affairs.
We are looking for someone who is able to learn quickly, work well on their own initiative and who will enjoy working in a busy team environment. As a front line member of the office interacting with the public, party and parliamentary colleagues on a daily basis, it is essential that you are an effective and friendly communicator. Ideally you will have good IT and office skills - previous experience of Microsoft Outlook would be a particular asset. Fundamentally we need someone with great enthusiasm and get up and go, and who will be happy to get involved wherever needed.
It is strongly desirable that you have sympathies with the aims and values of the Liberal Democrats.
