The Royal College of Physicians of London is a membership organisation that supports over 24,500 Members and Fellows based both regionally and internationally and we now have a vacancy for a Membership Engagement Coordinator within our Membership Department – part of the Communications and External Affairs Directorate.
The post holder will support the Membership Manager in planning and implementing membership engagement activities in order to meet College targets for retention, recruitment, reputation and revenue. The focus of this role is to support the College’s engagement with current and future Members and Fellows.
The role includes responsibility for assisting in all areas of the membership engagement strategy from the development of projects through to their execution. This could include anything from planning research about the College’s membership to organising the distribution of literature, or helping to put on an event to promote one of the four categories of College membership.
The successful candidate must be prepared to undertake elements of the marketing mix and work within company and brand guidelines. Experience within the not-for-profit, charity, membership or trade union sectors would be extremely beneficial. You will also need IT skills, the ability to multi-task to deadlines, be pro-active and enthusiastic about strengthening the College’s relationship with its membership.
This role is 3 days per week. We can be flexible on days worked but wish for the post holder to spread the days throughout the week (rather than a block of Monday to Wednesday, or Wednesday to Friday). The role is fixed-term for one year initially to be reviewed at the end of that year. Salary of £22,000 to £24,000 is pro rata to hours worked i.e. £13,200 to £14,400 for 3 days per week (0.6 FTE).
We offer excellent benefits including generous leave, free lunches and much more. In addition, the appointee will work in friendly offices in an attractive location overlooking Regents Park.
