details Based in the constituency office in Cambridge, we are looking for an enthusiastic intern to help with tasks including:
  • Responding to constituents’ emails
  • Speaking to constituents by phone
  • Casework research and drafting of letters
  • Filing and management of constituents’ cases
  • Accompanying Julian on visits
  • Taking notes in meetings.

    Internships are for a period of up to three months. Reasonable lunch and travel costs will be reimbursed.

    There may be occasional opportunities to work in Westminster.

    No prior experience of working for an MP is necessary although an interest in politics is crucial. You do not need to be a member of the Liberal Democrats, although you must be sympathetic to the aims of the party.

    If you’re enthusiastic, positive and willing to work hard for Julian, we’ll ensure that you receive the support and gain the experience and training that will help you find future paid employment.
