CCHQ IT are currently looking to recruit an Infrastructure Analyst.
This is a permanent position for someone with a strong WAN/LAN skill set to join a small but well structured team who together manage an enterprise level network environment. The role will involve the day-to-day administration and user support of our WAN, to include day-day-support for ip/firewall/isp escalations. The role will be responsible for helping to ensure documented Service Level Agreements are achieved by our business partner and supplied by us to our user community. Our environment is made up of a series of SonicWall TZ170 Firewalls which link over 330 distinct sites with a central database which is currently based on a SQL Server 2005 platform.
Job responsibilities will, amongst other things, include:
Working with IT Support and other staff to ensure the organisation has a secure VPN/WAN infrastructure throughout our constituency and head office operation.
To provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to infrastructure matters to both CCHQ and constituency users.
Helping to ensure the security of our systems and data both at CCHQ and in particular across our WAN.
To aid the IT Support Team as required.
Demonstrable knowledge and working experience of the following is required:-Windows Server 2003, a limited level of SQL Server 2005/2008, SQL Express.

Conservative Campaign Headquarters is looking to recruit a full time Assistant Network Manager to join our small but dedicated IT support team. The successful candidate will work alongside the Network Manager to oversee the management, installation, maintenance, availability and security of CCHQ’s extensive IT network, including elements of our software and hardware infrastructure. As well as managing our current networks, the successful candidate will be involved in planning and design of any new response to requirements across the enterprise.

Policy Exchange is one of the UK’s most influential think-tanks. Our research programmes cover a plethora of issues, from crime and education through to health and security, family policy and welfare to work. With over 30 staff, we are the largest centre-right think-tank in Europe.
The Health & Social Care Unit has helped shape the debate in UK health policy and many of our ideas have been taken up by the Coalition Government. We have completed policy research into the major drivers of public health: alcohol, smoking and obesity; as well as showing how primary care can be used to drive system wide healthcare reform. Current work includes a significant project on integrated healthcare. We are now looking for an experienced candidate to head the Health Unit and to develop further projects and maintain the influence of our work in this area.
Day-to-day, this process will require you to work with a diverse mix of politicians, policymakers, NGOs and academics to oversee the production of first class health research; produce ideas for new projects; secure funding for our work; write publications and articles; raise the media profile of our work and organize events and seminars. To be a strong candidate, you would have:
A proven interest in health and social care, preferably professionally although this is not a prerequisite.
A predisposition towards free market and localist policies
Strong academic credentials
At least 2 years experience in a policy making environment, ideally with some experience of think tanks
Experience of project management
Previous experience of either fundraising or grant making would be useful, although is not a prerequisite.

Supporting project-based research: Tomorrow’s Company is engaged in pioneering research into the issues that emerge from the relationship between business and society. We encourage our volunteers to pursue their own career goals while at Tomorrow’s Company by 'shadowing' members of the team as they attend client meetings and events. Volunteers
Tomorrow’s Company volunteers come from both London and overseas, and belong to a diverse range of backgrounds, looking to obtain a valuable work experience or looking for a change in career direction. We have between four to six volunteers at any one time, working alongside our full time staff. We deeply value their work as a driving force of our success and as such we offer an encouraging team environment where volunteers are challenged to take on new roles and learn new skills which will be of use when they seek jobs in our industry. Volunteer roles will usually last for three to six months; volunteer roles are full-time (Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm) but hours can be flexible and we also offer part-time volunteer roles. |

The Law Centre has recently raised funds for a two year project. This will set up an Employment Law telephone advice service for Londoners on low incomes, who find themselves experiencing difficulties in the workplace. The Law Centre will work with clients, who would not normally be eligible for free legal advice and help them to resolve issues at work.
The project will also be organising a series of training workshops for local employers, to improve employment practices and increase job retention. Employers will receive a regular employment law e-bulletin to develop their awareness of changes in the law.
You will work closely with our Caseworkers to undertake the following tasks:
Develop marketing materials to advertise our Employer training sessions
Market research
Organise and host events
Develop partnerships
Write website copy and e-bulletins
Draft press releases
Initial client contact & booking appointments
Conduct follow up interviews with clients
Capture & analyse project data
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Initiative to work on their own
Superb written & oral communication skills
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Research skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Marketing experience or experience of project work.
A legal background is desirable but not essential.
