Over the last two years we have discovered that a
large number of highly qualified people working in this area require
specially devised courses to enhance their ability to lobby
governmental institutions, more effectively.
Our courses are specifically aimed at Government
Affairs personnel, Parliamentary Officers, Media & Communication
Specialists, Campaign team leaders and those working within Policy
departments within NGO's, blue chips companies and for small pressure

The
Industry and Parliament Trust (IPT) is a registered charity dedicated to
fostering mutual understanding between business and Parliament for the
public benefit. The IPT is independent, non-partisan and non-lobbying.
The
IPT facilitates educational exchange ‘Fellowships’ for MPs, MEPs,
Peers and Officers of both Houses with a range of companies from
different sectors of commerce and industry. The parliamentarian spends
18 days over 18 months in one or more companies learning at first hand
how business
strategy is formulated and implemented.
Through
experiencing life outside Westminster or Brussels, parliamentarians are
able to acquire a greater understanding of commerce and industry,
together with an enhanced appreciation of the impact of legislation on
business generally and on a particular sector.

Politics
Explained goes beyond simple theoretical explanations of the
institutions and processes of government to examine how public
affairs professionals engage in the full range of communications
opportunities available and how you can utilise these skills in
achieving your organisation’s goals and objectives.
The content
of the course and the style of delivery means it will benefit a
wide range of individuals including PR/communications
practitioners; marketing staff; those new to delivery of public
affairs strategies; support staff, or simply those interested in
learning more about public affairs.
Delivered
by professional public affairs consultants, each module explains
how the processes work in reality, advises on the most effective
style of engagement; and provides real life examples to place
the information into a practical context.
