1. Detailed and impartial briefing on major policy areas and bills

- Research Service – Research Papers, Standard Notes and Bill Information Pages are available on the Intranet. Contact details for research staff are in Who does What in Research   but if unsure ring the Information Point on ext. 3666

2. Help in tracing and consulting official documents

- Information Point, ext. 3666 or e-mail HCLibrary@parliament.uk. Alternatively, you can call in at Derby Gate Library, 1 Derby Gate (entrance opposite the Red Lion Pub) or the e-Library in Portcullis House. Note: many parliamentary and government publications can be supplied by the Vote Office

3. The loan of a book or pamphlet

- Book & Video Service ext. 1515. Note: you can access the Library’s catalogue on the Intranet

4. A parliamentary information service for constituents

- House of Commons Information Office ext. 4272 or hcinfo@parliament.uk. 

5. Training in the use of the Parliamentary Intranet
